Magical glances between Pairi Daiza and Geronimo.

Geronimo Brands, Pairi Daiza’s partner in communications for TV campaigns for the past three years, is launching a new, eye-catching campaign for the park on TV and social media. Where Pairi Daiza’s communication formerly focused on lifestyle films centred on the park’s various theme worlds and animals, they will be pulling out all the stops this year with a refreshing storytelling campaign that embraces one of the park’s greatest truths: looking into the eyes of an animal at Pairi Daiza is a magical experience for all. The role played in society by Pairi Daiza, which was awarded the title of Europe’s best zoo for countless years in a row, has always been one of love, says the park’s founder and inspirational force Eric Domb. Its foremost ambition has always been the preservation and protection of primarily endangered animals, and to create a unique and enchanting environment where people can experience and learn to appreciate the beauty and diversity of nature.

‘Pairi Daiza was conceived not only to entertain its visitors, but also to engender their awareness for the dire necessity of nature conservation and the protection of the ever-increasing number of animal species threatened with extinction in the wild. Everything we do at the park, we do out of love foranimals.’ - Eric Domb, CEO of Pairi Daiza.

Visitors of Pairi Daiza step into a world that resembles the animals’ natural habitat, but where they are given better care and safety. Rather than just looking at the animals, a visitor of Pairi Daiza is an observer who is given the opportunity to be inspired by their behaviour – towards one another as well as their visitors and carers.

‘Apart from the beautiful and minutely detailed theme worlds, there is one thing, above all, that visitors to Pairi Daiza notice straight away: animals have the unique ability to enchant us all. Their playfulness, love and concern for one another are reflected onto every one of us. I still need to meet the first visitor of our park whose heart does not melt after looking into the eyes of one of our animals. A highly relevant insight.’ - Gertjan De Smet, Creative Director.

The new campaign consists of three 30-second TV commercials and 25 social media spots, each lasting 15 seconds. The commercials show the magical effects brought about by a glance into the eyes of the animals at Pairi Daiza. Spoiler alert: they melt everyone’s heart! The brief spots on social media show you how much love and care you will find at the park every single day. And that takes on amazing proportions. Fans of ‘Love Island’ or ‘Too Hot to Handle’ had better get moving and check out the park’s socials ASAP! The more sensitive among us or whose capacity for falling in love is not as overwhelming should probably be a bit more hesitant. Or perhaps not... In any case, don’t say you haven’t been warned: love is in the air surrounding the Henegouw village of Cambron-Casteau. The campaign, created by Geronimo Productions, will be launched in the third week of July. The spots and commercials were produced under the expert eye of Ralf Demesmaeker, panda among directors, and with the equally expert lens of David Doom, gorilla among DOPs.
